The 1st ASRIC Conference on Engineering Sciences aims at bringing together lead academic scientists, researchers, and scholars from Africa and its Diaspora to exchange and share their experiences, research findings on all aspects of Engineering towards addressing Africa’s Urbanization. The conference is an opportunity to strengthen intra-Africa research and cooperation, it is also a platform for researchers, practitioners to present and discuss the most recent solution, innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted Urbanization.
The 1st ASRIC Conference on Engineering Sciences conference is organized by ASRIC Secretariat & Obour Institutes. The conference is to be conducted in Cairo Egypt from 6th to 8th September 2021.
The Conference has the theme “Engineering and Informatics for Africa’s Urbanization” while Eco Engineering for Mega Cities and Urbanization; Informatics and Big data for urbanization and Mega City Management; and Urban and Mega Cities Planning development and management are the conference subthemes.
The conference Organizing Committee announces an Open Call for high quality research contributions describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work that addresses the transformation from rural to urban and the betterment of Africa’s cities, and that to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of mega cities for the wellbeing of its inhabitants. It is deemed also to address the areas that are in conjunction with the conference theme and sub-themes.
Submitted papers must not be under consideration
by any other journal or publication.
All submitted papers should be submitted through EDAS using the link SUBMIT MANUSCRIPT
Successful papers will be incorporated to the IEEE Xplore.
All submitted papers will be peer reviewed by three reviewers identified by the conference scientific committee; the author of the selected full text papers will be invited for the oral sessions of the conference. Also the selected papers will be published in special journal issues of the ASRIC Scientific Journals, after receiving the final edited copies from the authors. The final decision for paper selection will be made based on peer review reports by the reviewers, conference scientific committee and the ASRIC Scienctific Journals Editor-in-Chief.
UNESCO Engineering Agenda – This side event includes a special delivery of the outcome of the recently launched 2nd UNESCO Engineering Report titled "Engineering for Sustainable Development: Delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals"; AI for Deduction of Water Leaks in urban environment project results; and Women in STEM session to boost women’s and girls’ participation in Engineering.
Federation of African Engineering Organizations (FAEO) Executive Council Meeting – The FAEO is an international non-governmental organization which represents the interests of all engineering practitioners in Africa, with a large membership of National and Regional Institutes and Councils of Engineering Sciences across AU Member States. The FAEO Executive Council Meeting will be held during the Conference to discuss on various issues towards the achievement of the organization’s objectives to facilitate and enhance development in engineering across Africa.
